Is it even possible to do all that on a single guitar?

While Tim has been tuning Pete’s guitar for Chris to take home, I’ve been learning about guitars. Interesting to note:
- there are 72 fret positions, but only 37 unique notes
- the strings aren’t the audible noise; the soundboard is
- the notes’ frequencies are offset by the 12th root of 2 (about 1.0595)
- the tempered scale is based on a 440 Hz A note
Who says you can’t learn something new every day?
